Wheel Throwing Sessions

With over 4 years experiencing in teaching throwing on the potter's wheel I enjoy teaching people this wonderful and calming activity. I now offer 1-2-1 sessions in my home studio based in Hurley, Berkshire.

What to Expect

I have availability throughout the week to run 2 hour sessions in my home studio. These sessions are great for beginners or intermediate throwers and can be tailored to your needs. When booking please let me know what you're experience level is. I also offer turning workshops for people looking to move to the next level.

​These sessions are suitable for ages 13 years and up (under 16's must be accompanied by an adult) and aim to teach you the basics of wheel throwing or help you hone in on your skills.

​

Included in the cost is up to 3 pieces and the firing and glazing of your finished pieces.

​

2 hour throwing course: £70​​

1.5 hour turning course: £45

What to bring (please make sure you bring the following):

  • Apron

  • Something to tie your hair back with

  • Short nail (no extensions)

  • Toe covered shoes

  • Old clothes

Terms & Conditions

Please note that, though unlikely, I cannot guarantee that you will have a piece to keep at the end of your session.

  • I retain the right to refuse to fire a piece if it could cause harm to the kiln/is unlikely to survive firing.

  • I do not recommend this activity if you are; pregnant, have back/hip issues, are severely arthritic
